I like the one in the upper left the most. Something about the shoes is a little goofy. Did the originals even have shoes? Those look a little like Dutch wooden ones.
I was wondering with the enemies, how big we should make them in proportion to the brothers. In the story they stomp on them. So I was thinking a big epic magic stomp?
I believe we can make certain troops imposing, we could certainly make these guys smaller and more stout like, but make it to where they are always accompanied by the football helmet Troopa. I think a magic stomp would be in order for these enemies. Goombas should probably be zombie mushrooms. Mushrooms risen from the grave by Browsers magic, he made so many of them there are still pockets of them here and there through the city.
